Chapter 463 - 380: Moonlight’s Fortunate Opportunity
Chapter 463 - 380: Moonlight’s Fortunate Opportunity
The Wind God Winged Dragon King’s massive corpse lay sprawled on the ground, the horrifying hole in its chest still smoldering with black smoke. A strange scent, a mixture of cooked meat and blood, filled the air.
A few patches of scale armor on Sun’s enormous golden body had been torn by gales, leaving behind white scars. However, the fiery rage in its golden eyes had gradually subsided, replaced by the exhilarating satisfaction of a battle well-fought.
It shook its head and let out a low roar, as if declaring its victory.
"Coal Ball, time to get to work."
Raylo’s voice shattered the post-battle silence.
A black shadow shot out from behind Baofeng. It was the Space Young Dragon, Coal Ball.
It circled twice around the Wind God Winged Dragon King’s hill-sized corpse, its small eyes glinting with greed and excitement.
It opened its mouth, and an invisible vortex rapidly expanded in front of it. A powerful suction enveloped the Winged Dragon King’s corpse.
The next second, the enormous corpse, along with the severed remains of the Giant Puppet, was completely swallowed by the spatial vortex and vanished without a trace.
Raylo patted Coal Ball on the head, his gaze shifting back to the pool of water.
In the center of the battlefield, on a patch of land that had been ravaged by savage power and was now a scene of utter devastation, the small pool of water remained miraculously untouched.
The water was crystal clear, and above it, a magnificent, seven-colored Rainbow Bridge had materialized from thin air, looking as ethereal as a dream.
At the center of the Rainbow Bridge floated a mass of light the size of a human head, its form constantly shifting.
It didn’t look solid, but rather like a living, captured cloud, glowing from within with a brilliant, gem-like radiance. The immense Magic Power it emanated was enough to cause the very air around it to shimmer and distort.
The Elemental Heart.
Raylo leaped down from Baofeng’s back and slowly approached the pool.
The closer he got, the clearer the utterly pure elemental fluctuations became. Like a gentle tide, they washed over his Spiritual Power again and again, bringing with them a deep, soul-felt sense of comfort and familiarity.
A silver-white figure appeared silently at his side.
Moonlight’s pale golden eyes were fixed unblinkingly on the Elemental Heart. Its body leaned slightly forward, its streamlined form tensed like a drawn bow, ready to spring.
It was a raw, instinctual craving that could not be hidden.
"Such pure energy."
Sun walked over as well, its massive draconic head moving in for a closer look.
Beside Raylo, Blue Cat Lightning poked its head out curiously. It swiped a paw toward the Elemental Heart as if to touch it, but the immense pressure of the energy made it recoil in fear, letting out a frustrated mewl.
’This little one is only at the Tier Four Growth Stage; it isn’t qualified to partake of a Treasure of this Level.’
Raylo’s gaze ultimately fell back on Moonlight.
He could clearly feel that every single pulse emanating from the Elemental Heart resonated with the Magic Power inside Moonlight. It was as if this Treasure was destined to be hers.
Raylo had never been stingy with this companion who had grown up alongside him.
"Moonlight, it’s yours," Raylo said softly.
Moonlight slowly turned her silver head, her pale golden eyes gazing at Raylo, his figure clearly reflected within them.
She blinked gently.
The next moment, without any hesitation, her form became a streak of white light, appearing instantly upon the Rainbow Bridge.
She opened her mouth and swallowed the dazzling Elemental Heart in a single gulp.
BOOM!
The moment the Elemental Heart entered her stomach, an unimaginably terrifying wave of Magic Power erupted, with Moonlight’s body at its epicenter!
Tangible elemental light swept outward like a tsunami, blasting the unprepared Raylo back more than a dozen steps before he could regain his footing.
A grand evolution had begun.
Moonlight’s true Silver Dragon form swelled and grew within the light.
She seemed to be bathing in an ocean of pure Elements, her body wreathed in wind, fire, water, earth, lightning, light, darkness...
Nearly every Magic Element imaginable swirled around her like docile Elves, joyfully merging into her body.
Every silver Dragon Scale on her body grew brighter and more translucent. On their surface, exceptionally complex and arcane Magic Runes began to emerge. The runes seemed alive, flowing slowly along the texture of the scales and shimmering with a faint, iridescent glow.
Her body, originally over thirty meters long, grew at a maddening pace visible to the naked eye. It quickly surpassed forty meters, pushing toward the fifty-meter mark.
Her two spiraled silver horns, which pointed toward the sky, grew longer and more graceful. The halos of light at their tips shone ever more brilliantly, like two miniature moons.
The great, membranous wings folded at her sides unfurled. On the translucent membranes, the existing patterns of Magic Power became impossibly clear, resembling an exquisitely detailed Star Map filled with a sense of mystery and Power.
Sun’s massive draconic head lifted slightly.
"She is... completing her origin source. What a lucky creature. An Elemental Heart of this Level is enough to drive any Giant Dragon insane."
The evolution lasted a full half hour.
As the last ray of elemental light merged completely into Moonlight’s body, the violent fluctuations of Magic Power in the area at last began to subside.
Moonlight’s body had now grown to fifty meters, and she floated silently in mid-air.
Though her form was still not as colossal as Sun’s, the magical pressure she exuded was no weaker. In fact, in some ways, it felt even more profound and contained.
