Benefiting all living beings, heaven and man save everything, which is called Mahayana, and Bodhisattvas are called Mahasattvas because they seek this vehicle.
The Twelve Gates Theory says: Mahayana is called Mahayana because he is superior to the two vehicles.
All the Buddhas are the greatest, and they are called great because they are capable of reaching the vehicle.It can also eliminate the great suffering of all beings and the great benefit. The accident is called great.Also, Avalokitesvara, Great Strength, Manjusri, Maitreya Bodhisattva, etc. are the vehicles of all the great men, so they are called great.And this vehicle can exhaust all dharmas, so it is called great.Another example is that in the Prajna Sutra, the Buddha himself said that the meaning of Mahayana is boundless and boundless.So it is called big for a reason.
Baoji Sutra 28 says: All Buddhas and Tathagatas are right and true to the way they walk. That vehicle is called the Mahayana, the superior vehicle, the wonderful vehicle, the superior vehicle, the unsurpassed vehicle, the unsurpassed vehicle, the non-equal vehicle, and the non-evil vehicle. Multiplication, multiplication without waiting. "
